Started in a two-bay garage. Built on word of mouth.
A Brunswick shop for Brunswick drivers — here long before your current car, and planning to be here long after it.
One rule: treat every car like it belongs to your mother.
Downeast Auto & Tire opened in 2009 when Mike Caron got tired of watching friends get burned by dealership service writers. He spent fifteen years as a lead tech before hanging his own sign on Pleasant Street with that one rule — and it's still the rule today.
The shop now runs six bays and a five-person crew of ASE-certified techs, including Mike's daughter Sam, who runs diagnostics. The crew grew; the rule didn't change. We're a Brunswick shop for Brunswick drivers, and we plan to be here long after your current car is gone.
The values that keep the lights on
Honesty over invoices
If it doesn't need doing, we'll tell you to skip it. A repeat customer beats a one-time invoice every single day.
Real expertise
Every tech in every bay is ASE-certified, and we keep the training current as the cars change. No guesswork, no parts-cannon.
Rooted in Brunswick
We live here too. You'll see us at Hannaford and the Topsham Fair — our name's on the line every time you drive off.
Built to last
Fifteen years and counting on word of mouth alone. That only happens when the work — and the people — hold up.
The kind of shop you tell your neighbor about.
Stop in on Pleasant Street or book online — we'll treat your car like it's our own.
