Frequently asked questions

The things Southern Maine homeowners ask before they call. Don't see yours? Reach out and we'll answer it straight.

Do you service pools you didn't build?

Absolutely. Most of the pools on our weekly routes were built by someone else. We'll baseline your chemistry and equipment on the first visit, note anything that needs attention, and take it from there.

When should I open and close my pool in Maine?

Most Southern Maine pools open mid-to-late May and close in late September or early October, before the first hard freeze. We schedule openings and closings so you never miss the window — and Resort-plan customers have both included.

How long does a new pool build take?

From signed design to first swim, a typical gunite build runs 8–14 weeks depending on permitting, weather, and features. Fiberglass installs are often faster. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote and keep you updated throughout.

What does a weekly service plan actually include?

Skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying baskets, a full water test with balancing, and an equipment check — plus a digital report after each visit. Exact scope depends on the plan you choose; compare them on our plans page.

Are your quotes and estimates really free?

Yes. We come out, look at your pool or your backyard, and send a clear, itemized quote at no cost and with no pressure. You decide when you're ready.

Do you handle permits for new construction?

We do. Permitting and setback rules vary by town across Southern Maine, and we manage the paperwork and inspections as part of every build so you don't have to chase it down.
