Good to knowThe practical stuff first-timers ask before a day on the bay. Don't see yours? Call the captain at (207) 555-0184.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a layer for the breeze, soft-soled shoes, and any food and drinks you'd like. If you're fishing, bring a cooler for your catch. We provide all fishing gear, bait, bottled water, and Coast-Guard-approved life jackets.
Casco Bay is fairly protected, so most trips are smooth — but if you're prone to motion sickness, take a non-drowsy remedy about an hour before, eat something light beforehand, and stay up on deck where you can watch the horizon. Let your captain know and we'll keep an eye on you.
Absolutely — families are some of our favorite crews. The half-day fishing trip, lighthouse tour, and lobster-boat experience are all great with kids. We have child-sized life jackets aboard. The youngest aboard sets the pace, and that's just fine with us.
Safety first, always. If the captain calls a trip for weather, you can reschedule for any open date or get a full refund — no questions asked. Light rain usually doesn't stop us; wind, fog, and rough seas might. We'll make the call and be in touch before your trip.
No license needed — you're covered under the vessel's charter license while you're aboard. And you don't need to bring anything; rods, reels, bait, tackle, and instruction are all included on every fishing trip. Bring your own lucky lure if you've got one.
We do, and they make a great gift for the Maine-lover in your life. Certificates are good for any trip, never expire, and we'll help your recipient pick the right one when they're ready to book. Just ask and we'll set it up.
