Why us

The difference is in the work you don’t see.

Standard

Clean behind the cover

Open any panel we’ve touched and the wiring is dressed, labeled, and routed at right angles. It’s not for show — neat work is safe work that’s easy to service later.

Standard

We pull the permits

Every job that needs one gets one. Inspections are scheduled, met, and documented — so the work is on record when you sell the house.

Standard

Quotes that hold

Flat-rate pricing on the work we can see, and a straight conversation before we touch anything we can’t. No surprise line items at the end.

Standard

We clean up

Drop cloths down, dust vacuumed, scraps hauled out. You shouldn’t be able to tell where we worked except that it finally works.

How it works

Four steps, no guesswork.

01

Walk-through

We come look, listen, and test — then tell you what’s safe to leave and what needs attention now versus later.

02

Written estimate

A clear, itemized quote with options, sent the same day where we can. You approve before we order a thing.

03

Scheduled work

We arrive in the window we promised, protect your space, and keep you posted as we go.

04

Test, label & inspect

Every circuit tested, every breaker labeled, inspection passed — and a walkthrough so you know exactly what changed.

Marcus Hale, founder and master electrician, checking a circuit tester at a tidy shop workbench.
Our story

Founded by a Mainer who got tired of cleanup calls.

Everletric started in 2010 when Marcus Hale — a Westbrook native and second-generation electrician — kept getting hired to fix other people’s shortcuts. Hidden junction boxes, undersized wire, panels with no labels. He figured Maine could use an electrical company that did the boring parts right. Today the crew runs out of a shop on Riverside Street, still answers the phone, and still treats every house like the inspector is coming — because eventually one does.

What clients say

Quiet panels. Happy customers.

Upgraded our service for a heat pump and EV charger in one day. The panel looks better than the rest of the house. They labeled everything — I finally know which breaker is the garage.

★★★★★ Dana R. · Falmouth

We had three other quotes that were vague and one that was just a number on a napkin. Everletric explained the whole job and came in right where they said. No surprises.

★★★★★ Priya S. · Brunswick

After the December storm we asked about a generator. They sized it to what we actually need and walked us through running it. First outage since, we didn’t even notice.

★★★★★ Tom & Gail W. · Yarmouth

Wired our whole espresso line and kitchen on a tight opening schedule. They coordinated with our GC and we opened on the day we planned. That never happens.

Code, permits & peace of mind

We treat the National Electrical Code as the floor, not the finish line.

Old wiring doesn’t announce itself until something goes wrong. We offer dedicated electrical safety inspections for homebuyers, landlords, and anyone in a house built before 1990 — checking for aluminum branch wiring, ungrounded outlets, overloaded panels, and missing AFCI/GFCI protection.

Whole-home safety inspection

A documented top-to-bottom check with a written report and a prioritized fix list — ideal before you buy, rent out, or renovate.

Knob-and-tube & aluminum remediation

We safely retire legacy wiring common in older Maine homes and bring circuits up to today’s standard.

Permits & inspections, handled

We pull the permit, coordinate the AHJ inspection, and hand you the paperwork — no chasing town hall.

Surge & storm protection

Whole-home surge protection and generator-ready service so Maine weather stops costing you electronics.

Good questions

Before you call, here’s the straight answer.

Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates for planned work are free. For diagnostic calls — chasing down why something isn’t working — there’s a flat service fee that we apply toward the repair if you go ahead.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold a Maine Master Electrician license (#ME-EL-22817) and carry full liability and workers’ comp insurance. We’re happy to send certificates before we start.
Can you handle EV chargers and rebates?
Absolutely. We size and install Level 2 chargers and give you the install documentation you’ll need for Efficiency Maine and utility rebate programs.
