Grooming the calm way
Bark Harbor Pet Grooming started with a simple idea: grooming on Mount Desert Island shouldn't feel rushed or scary.
Owner and lead groomer Maddie Pelletier grew up in Bar Harbor and trained under a fear-free certified groomer before opening the shop on Cottage Street. She built the salon around a deliberately slower pace — fewer pets per day, more patience, and a treat jar that never runs dry.

Tomás Rivera
Groomer. The doodle and double-coat specialist with a magic touch for nervous rescues. If a dog needs extra patience, Tomás is the one for the job.
Hannah
Bath tech. Keeps the suds flowing, the dryers gentle, and every tail wagging. The first friendly face most pets meet on bath day.
