What homeowners ask us most.
The questions that tend to stall a flooring or deck decision — answered straight, the same way we'd tell you on your front porch.
Is the in-home estimate really free?
Yes — measuring your space, checking the subfloor, and bringing samples to your home costs you nothing and there's no obligation. We'd rather earn the job with a fair number.
Hardwood or LVP — which should I choose?
Depends on the room and the household. Hardwood for timeless character in living spaces; LVP for kitchens, basements, pets, and high-moisture areas. We'll walk you through the trade-offs honestly.
Can you refinish my existing floors?
Often, yes. If there's enough wood left to sand, refinishing is usually cheaper and keeps the original character. We'll tell you straight whether yours are candidates.
What deck material lasts best in Maine?
Composite is lowest-maintenance and great near the coast; cedar and pressure-treated cost less up front. We frame all of them for Maine snow loads with proper flashing and fasteners.
How long does a typical job take?
Most rooms are a few days including prep; a refinish needs dry time; a new deck is usually one to two weeks depending on size. We give you a real timeline in the estimate.
What areas do you serve?
The Penobscot Bay region — Rockland, Camden, Rockport, Thomaston, Belfast, and the surrounding Midcoast towns.
