How it started

One honest furnace tech, one truck.

Cardinal started in 2003 when Mike Cardinal, a furnace tech tired of watching big franchises nickel-and-dime homeowners, hung his own shingle in Westbrook. His rule from day one: quote it honestly, fix it right, and earn the second call — the tune-up, the AC install, the neighbor’s referral.

Two decades later Cardinal runs a fleet of eleven trucks and a team of fifteen techs, every one of them background-checked and factory-trained, and every one living right here in southern Maine. Mike still reads every review that comes in.
