Before you reach out.
The things couples and families ask most often. If yours isn't here, just send a note — I'm happy to answer anything.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, six to twelve months is typical, especially for summer and fall coast dates, which fill first. Portrait and family sessions usually come together within a few weeks. If your date is close, ask anyway — I sometimes have an opening.
Do you travel beyond Camden?
Yes. I cover the whole Midcoast — Rockport, Rockland, Belfast, Lincolnville, the islands — at no extra charge, and I'm happy to travel farther in Maine for weddings. Just tell me where the day is happening.
How and when do we get our photos?
Sneak peeks within a week, and your full edited gallery within three to four weeks for sessions, four to six for weddings. Everything arrives in a private online gallery you can download, share, and order prints from.
What if it rains?
We make it work. Midcoast weather is part of the charm, and soft, overcast light is genuinely beautiful to photograph in. For sessions we can shift to a backup time if needed, and for weddings I always have a wet-weather plan ready.
Do we get the editing rights and a print release?
Every collection includes a print release, so you can print your images wherever you like. I deliver color-true, finished edits; I don't hand over unedited RAW files, as the editing is part of the look you're hiring me for.
How do we hold our date?
A signed agreement and a retainer reserve your date on the calendar, with the balance due before the wedding or session. Once that's in, your date is yours — I only take a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets my full attention.
Ask me anything.
Send your question along with your date and a few details, and I'll get right back to you.
