A family table, grown into a Maine institution.
Good food is how Mainers say I love you. That belief is where Garnet began — and it's still how every event starts today.
From a church basement to your celebration
Garnet began with Elise Beaulieu cooking for friends' weddings out of a rented church kitchen in Lewiston in 2012 — and discovering she was good enough that the church started taking bookings on her behalf. A culinary-school grad who came home to the city she grew up in, Elise built Garnet on the belief that good food is how Mainers say I love you.
Today she runs a dedicated commissary kitchen in Auburn with her husband Daniel managing the floor and a seasoned crew of cooks and servers behind them. We've fed thousands of guests across the L-A area, but every event still starts the same way it did in that church basement: with someone we care about asking us to help make a day special.
The way we cook and serve
Cooked, not catered
Everything is made from scratch in our Auburn kitchen — sauces, breads, and desserts included. Nothing arrives frozen in a box.
Maine on the menu
We build seasonal menus around growers and fishers we know by name, so your spread tastes like the place you're celebrating in.
One team, every detail
Your tasting, your timeline, your rentals, your staff — all coordinated by people who'll be there on the day, not a call center.
Dietary grace
Gluten-free, vegan, allergy-aware, and kosher-style options crafted to be just as lovely as the rest, never an afterthought.
What clients remember
We hosted our 40th anniversary with Garnet and it felt like a five-star restaurant came to our backyard. Worth every penny and then some.
Tom & Brenda S. — LewistonI'm celiac and I've spent years being handed sad plain plates at events. Garnet made me a gluten-free menu that was the best food at the whole wedding. I cried a little.
Maya P. — GreeneWe'd love to cook for you.
Tell us about your celebration and we'll send a thoughtful, itemized proposal within two business days. Serving Lewiston, Auburn, and venues across Greater Portland, the Midcoast, and western Maine.
