Why hosts choose Garnet

Restaurant-quality food.
Heirloom-quality service.

Cooked, not catered

Everything is made from scratch in our Auburn kitchen — sauces, breads, and desserts included. Nothing arrives frozen in a box.

Maine on the menu

We build seasonal menus around growers and fishers we know by name, so your spread tastes like the place you're celebrating in.

One team, every detail

Your tasting, your timeline, your rentals, your staff — all coordinated by people who'll be there on the day, not a call center.

Dietary grace

Gluten-free, vegan, allergy-aware, and kosher-style options crafted to be just as lovely as the rest, never an afterthought.

How we plan your event

Booking a caterer should feel calm, not chaotic. From the first conversation to the final fork, you have one team that listens closely, plans precisely, and shows up early — so the only thing left for you to do is enjoy your own party.

Four steps to a flawless event

01

The conversation

Tell us your date, your vision, and your guest count. We listen, suggest, and send a clear, itemized proposal — no mystery line items.

02

The tasting

Come sit at our table. We'll plate your top menu choices so you book with confidence, not a guess.

03

The plan

We lock the menu, timeline, rentals, and staffing, and stay in step with your venue and other vendors so nothing falls through the cracks.

04

The day

Our team arrives early, sets the scene, serves with grace, and cleans up after — leaving you free to simply be a guest at your own event.

The hands in the kitchen

A family table, grown into a Maine institution.

Garnet began with Elise Beaulieu cooking for friends' weddings out of a rented church kitchen in Lewiston in 2012 — and discovering she was good enough that the church started taking bookings on her behalf. A culinary-school grad who came home to the city she grew up in, Elise built Garnet on the belief that good food is how Mainers say I love you.

What clients remember

★★★★★

Our guests are STILL talking about the lobster rolls. Elise's team felt like family by the end of the night, and we never once had to ask for anything — they were always a step ahead.

Hannah & Cole — Auburn
★★★★★

We've used Garnet for three faculty galas now. Flawless service, gorgeous presentation, and they accommodate every dietary need with zero fuss. They make me look good.

Questions, answered

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings and large events we recommend six to twelve months. For corporate drop-offs and smaller gatherings, a few weeks is often plenty — just ask.

Can we do a tasting before we commit?

Absolutely. Once you've reserved your date with a deposit, we'll schedule a private tasting of your top menu selections.

Can you accommodate allergies and diets?

Always. Gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, and allergy-aware menus are crafted with the same care as everything else — never a sad side plate.
