Where do we start?
With a conversation about your business, your customers and what you want to improve. You do not need a finished brief or a list of technical requirements.
How is a project scoped?
We discuss the pages, features, content and connections the work needs. You receive a defined scope and a proposal before the build begins.
Can you build just a website?
Yes. A website can be a complete project on its own. An admin portal or integration is added when it serves a useful purpose for your business.
Can you improve an existing website?
Yes. I can review the current site and discuss what to keep, what to improve and whether a rebuild makes sense.
Who will I work with?
Eric, the person designing and developing your project. Strategy & Design is an independent, one-person studio in Maine.
Will I own the finished work?
Your completed custom website and its code belong to you under the agreed project terms. Domain ownership, hosting and any third-party accounts are made clear in the handover.
How long does a build take?
The timeline depends on the scope, content and integrations. We agree on a realistic schedule after discussing the project and what is needed to start.
What happens after launch?
We walk through the finished work and discuss ongoing care. Hosting, domains and third-party services may have recurring costs; those are separate from the custom build and are set out in the proposal.
Do the portfolio systems use real customer data?
No. The showcased systems use sample records for demonstration. Industry examples show working capabilities and should not be read as client endorsements or performance results.
